Did you know that mindfulness can give you freedom? It's true. Freedom from anxiety, worry, stress. Mindfulness can give you a sense of freedom that's hard to describe in words. I'm talking about contentment and a level of inner peace.
You might ask yourself, how do I bring the kind of mindfulness into my life that will actually give me freedom?
For me, that takes time and a whole lot of patience. Every time I meet a new person and interview them on Mindfulness Mode, I feel like I learn another new aspect of mindfulness.
The picture above is one I took when I was experiencing an incredibly high level of mindfulness. This was in Newfoundland, Canada and the picture shows an inland lake called Western Brook Pond. It's described as an inland Fjord.
This place is so ‘mindful' it's almost ethereal. The water lacks nutrients because it's glacial water. Ok, so the science would explain this in more detail, but the water won't even conduct electricity. This is a mystical place.
Have you ever been to a place where you could just feel a completely different kind of energy? That mindful energy can change your brain and in turn, change your life.
Two points I want to make today:
- 1. Bring nature into your life. Go for a walk, a run, enjoy some sun. Or even put on a nature video if that works for you.
- 2. Allow time for yourself. That might be meditation or just having a little quiet time. You're worth it. Enjoy some mindfulness time.
Oh, and check out the latest Mindfulness Mode episode with Claudette Rowley. She talks about cultural Brilliance which is also the name of her book. I loved getting to know her. Here's the link: www.MindfulnessMode.com/415 or listen on iTunes, Spotify or whatever app you use for podcasts.
Here's the rest of the above picture showing our boat tour of Western Brook Pond. Fun, mindful times for sure!
Remember, stay in the mode; Mindfulness Mode.
