Most Influential Person
- Jesus, because of what he accomplished. He was about teaching us about love.
Effect on Emotions
- Mindfulness helps me deal with my emotions by questioning how I feel when someone criticizes me. I used to be triggered by criticism a lot because I experienced it frequently while growing up.
- Now, I remind myself that it's just someone's opinion, and I evaluate if there's any truth to it. Our thoughts turn into emotions, and those emotions can become beliefs if we dwell on them.
- I don't want negative beliefs, so I stay aware of my emotions and thoughts.
- I also consider that the person criticizing me might be having a bad day, so I try not to judge them.
- Being mindful means being aware of my feelings and thoughts and choosing the beliefs I want to hold onto.
Thoughts on Breathing
- Take a moment, sit on a bench, and breathe the fresh air. It can make you feel so much better.
- For me, nature is essential; I grew up in the mountains, and it's a big part of who we are.
- I recommend going out there and feeling nature, even touching the grass with your feet.

Bullying Story
- Regarding bullying, Janet talked about how being aware and mindful of our words and actions is crucial, especially when we interact with children.
- Our beliefs can pass down to them, so it's essential to set a positive example.
- Bullying often happens when someone lacks self-esteem and hasn't learned how to treat others with kindness.
- While we must protect ourselves from harm, it's also important to have compassion for the bully, as they might have learned hurtful behavior from somewhere else.
Words of Wisdom
- I would say that success in every area of your life is real and obtainable. But the power is always in our hands. Because we get we've been given choice. That's the one thing we have given choice and free will.
- And so when you can look at the landscape that way, if you see something that's not working for you, or you're not living the life that you want to live, go out and figure it out, sit down and sit in the feeling of where it's coming from because you'll discover it, and then you can change it.
