Is there a challenge in your life that is constantly gnawing at your mind, like a beaver chewing persistently at a tree?
You want to quit smoking, but you just can’t seem to make it happen. You try, but it’s just too tough. It’s easier to
light up another cigarette and not worry about your inability to quit.
Or maybe you’ve been trying to lose weight for years. You’ve had some temporary successes, but the extra weight always comes back. Eventually, you start thinking it’s impossible. You must have been created to be overweight.
Writing a book has always been a dream of yours. A close friend announces that she has finished writing her first book, and you have a sinking feeling because you’ve started your book several times, but always gave up because it seemed to be too challenging.
The above scenarios are not unusual. In many cases, the problem is a mindset issue. There are voices in your head that are controlling you and causing you to ultimately not accomplish many of the goals in life that you’ve set out to do.
Did you know that more and more people are using hypnosis as a tool to accomplish their goals? Hypnosis is become more mainstream as a method of defying imposter syndrome and being the person you truly want to be.
Hypnosis has helped me lose thirty-five pounds and keep it off. All my adult life, I’ve been overweight. The extra weight has varied from ten pounds to forty pounds. I always wanted to become trim and so eating a healthy diet became a focus for me.
I also made an effort to stay active, walk on a regular basis, and go to the gym. Many times I’d park a distance from my destination so I’d get an extra walk in my day. I seemed like a mystery why I was always carrying extra weight. I swear, those practices seemed to balance off with me consuming some extra carbs.
Tim Shurr and Jason Linett are accomplished hypnotists. I’ve interviewed them both for Mindfulness Mode and they gave me insight as to how to accomplish my goals. Later I interviewed Erika Flint, CEO of the Cascade Hypnosis Center.
Fortunately, I learned personal lessons from Tim, Jason and Erika. Erika explained that I was perfectly suited to become trained as a hypnotist. I signed up and now help people who struggle with some of the same challenges I tried to overcome.
Something that convinced me that I’d be an excellent candidate as a hypnotist was a book written by Erika called, Can You Be A Hypnotist? The answer to that question was definitely a resounding ‘Yes’.
